Thailand?!

There are a few things which still remind me of Thailand here (which I consider a good thing, just in case...).

The first is the sound when entering an "extra" convenience store, as it has a very similar sound like the 7-Eleven stores in Thailand.

Then we have:
Carnation sweetened condensed milk
Carnation! Sure, it's from NestlĂ©, but for me it is typical for the country of smiles, as they put it in just every kind of drink and juice you could imagine. In Mexico it's more common to use it for "postres" (desserts).

Orange flower
Ok, the picture above is kind of lame, as I wanted to capture the beautiful atmosphere on campus at the same time as the "Thai flower", whose name I still don't know. If you enlarge the picture by clicking on it and then look closely in the very middle, you might see the jaggy orange flower you'll also find many times when travelling in Thailand's north.

It's not that I don't like it here - not at all. But it won't be my favourite place... already occupied ;-)
