| From Zacatecas (E) to Guanajuato (G) |
In contrary to Zacatecas, Guanajuato didn't remind me so much of Italy, but more of Spain. As some 50 years ago the city introduced the Festival Internacional Cervantino, you can see Cervantes and Don Quijote just everywhere. And since I lived half a year in Alcalá de Henares in Spain, the probable birthplace of the writer, I really felt relegated to that city. Nice memories.
Guanajuato was also the place where we met with our fellow student K. from Canada, who would accompany us to San Miguel de Allende, our next travel destination.
| Guanajuato - reminded me of Alcalá de Henares in Spain, thanks to so many "Don Quijotes" (Guanajuato is famous for its Festival of Cervantes) |
