Chula Cholula: Travel Report 1: From Cholula to Guadalajara

From Cholula (A) to Guadalajara (B)

There happended so much on my travel and I neither had internet, nor the time to report about it during my travel... So I will keep it very short and leave you mostly with visual impressions.

Our first trip led us to Mexico's second largest city, Guadalajara. The bus drive took muuuuch longer than expected (around 10 hours), so we arrived pretty exhausted. Actually, it was our fault, because we just didn't check the travel time. Yes, Mexico is BIG - just look, how "short" the distance appears on the map and yet it took us 10 hours...

What was really nice: It was soooo much warmer than in Puebla. Actually, Puebla seems to be one of the coolest places in Mexico... Also, people were much more diversified than in fresa (Mexican slang for "snobby") Cholula. However, people are not more organized than my Mexican friends back in my university. Actually, I had to remember the receptionist that I still had to pay two nights for the hostel. He had already said "ok, that's all, have a nice trip"... Man, how do these businesses survive?!

It was also nice to have some kind of food we don't get in Cholula, for example Indian. Was really good.

However, Guadalajara is famous for birria, a stew made from goats meat. Yet, the decoration in the local market didn't really make me want to try it...
