Travel Report 3: Zacatecas

From Guadalajara (B) to Zacatecas (E)

Zacatecas did everything to make us hate it. There was a strange guy in the bus who kind of interrogated us and posed strange questions. There was a very strong military presence (the more north you go, the more military you will see). We had to stop in the middle of the night and get out of the bus, so that they could inspect it. At the bus terminal two jerks approached us and we had to hurry away. It was freezing cold.... And yet we loved Zacatecas. It's just too beautiful! The silver city boasts narrow streets, colonial houses - and it had the best refried beans I had so far as a gordita filling ;-)
